Programs

Omwabini’s approach to community development programs and projects begins with a needs assessment.

The needs assessment evaluates all target families based on their need Home Construction, Home wares, food support, farm input support, health care, ARV support, income generation potential, small animal husbandry support, educational support, and vocational training. These categories are indicated with as Needed, Unneeded, Occurring, and Complete.

The database is the key monitoring system for ensuring each family progresses and has each of their individual needs addressed as indicated by the initial needs assessment data.

Sustainability is managed and measured through the family’s ability to take full responsibility for meeting their own needs regarding the indicators of Food Support and Farm Inputs. Sustainable rehabilitation will be indicated by families being able to manage their own progress in order to provide and plan for their own food and farm input needs.
